Allt Duine Windfarm

SLR was commissioned to undertake the design of a wind farm, including all ancillary infrastructure, on a site situated in the headwaters of the River Spey.

The project was to include 20km of access tracks, construction compounds, borrow pits and crane hardstandings.

To inform the assessment, SLR completed detailed field surveys that involved peat depth probing, as well as ecological & ornithological, geological, water, landscape, transport, and cultural heritage surveys. The data collected from these surveys was used to inform the site design, and to agree with regulators’ appropriate mitigation measures (including Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Scottish Natural Heritage, Scottish Water, River Spey Fisheries Trust).
