We are delighted to share the news that SLR has acquired Vectos, bringing together market leading ESG, transport and mobility capabilities.

At a time when clients and markets are responding at an unprecedented pace to the climate emergency and the accompanying need for more sustainable, low carbon development, the addition of the Vectos team to SLR’s existing capabilities enhances our offer to clients on sustainable transport, infrastructure, and the future of mobility.

With over 150 professionals, Vectos is one of the largest consultancies in their field and have a vision to lead the way in mobility and low carbon solutions. They focus on commercial and social value, and with their clients bring development forward positively and sustainably.

Neil Penhall, SLR’s Chief Executive said “I am delighted to welcome the Vectos team into SLR. Together we share a clear vision and values on how we can help our clients achieve their sustainability goals. The Vectos team will considerably enhance our ESG and advisory services in the transport sector.”

Chris Mulligan, SLR’s Chief Strategy Officer added “This is SLR’s 7th acquisition over the last two years. Despite the global pandemic, this acquisition reflects the confidence that we and our investors, Charterhouse Capital Partners, have in progressing our growth strategy and desire to provide world-class solutions and advice to our clients.”

Mike Axon, a founding Director of Vectos, commented “We are incredibly excited about the potential that joining SLR unlocks for us, now and in the years to come. The opportunity to be acquired has presented itself before, but this is the first time we have seriously considered the prospect of joining another company. Every interaction with SLR has reinforced that we share a common vision, values, and views on social impacts. It has been evident from the outset that they are the right partner and that now is the right time.”

Mike added “Going forward our goals and vision remain unchanged. We will design, plan and model smart, integrated, multi-modal, low carbon transportation solutions. SLR share our vision to lead the way in mobility and infrastructure solutions that will deliver a valuable and lasting contribution to society through the creation of healthy, sustainable and resilient places.”
