Why attend?

This course is specifically designed for managers in the process industries, taking into account the unique demands of managing high hazard sites, and will link in with leadership models and guidance as published by the Process Safety Leadership Group, and the OECD guidance on Corporate Governance for Process Safety. The course will introduce leadership theories, and will then explore how leadership is demonstrated in the workplace with practical tools and techniques that can be immediately applied upon returning to site.

Presenter

Sarah Grindrod, Technical Director

Sarah is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, with over 25 years’ experience in manufacturing and process industries. She has an enviable track record delivering improvements into industry with the focus on transferring knowledge and skills into the business whilst delivering tangible results. An experienced trainer and consultant, having worked across Europe, Sarah has an unrivalled understanding of the challenges facing industry and the ability to quickly identify and resolve clients’ problems. She holds the Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector (PTLLS Level 4) teaching qualification along with both NVQ A1 (Assessor) & V1 (Internal Verifier) qualifications.
