Chief Executive Officer Neil Penhall
Neil has been with the business since 1995 and is the Chief Executive of SLR Global Limited and a director of a number of its subsidiaries with overall responsibility for the strategic direction and management of the group. Prior to becoming Chief Executive in 2013, Neil was responsible for all international operations outside of the Americas (Europe, Africa and Asia-Pacific). In addition to leading and directing the strategic growth, operations and diversification of the business, Neil had previously been Managing Director of the UK business from 2001 to 2009. Neil qualified as a mining engineer and has more than 30 years of experience in international environmental consultancy.

Chief Operating Officer Natalie Nottage
A chemical engineer by training, Natalie has more than 25 years of experience within the engineering, environmental and professional services industry, including corporate strategy, business development and operational management leadership roles. She has lived and worked in locations around the world including Australia, Japan, United Kingdom, and the United States.

Chief Financial Officer Andy Bolter
Andy is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of SLR having joined the firm in May 2020. Previously Andy was the UK CFO of SOCOTEC, the environmental testing and inspection services group. He has also held senior financial leadership roles with Environmental Scientifics Group, where he was CFO, and Lafarge Tarmac.

Chair John Kerr
John has over 40 years of experience in the professional services industry. He began his career at Arthur Andersen, where he led EMEA Consulting, before joining Deloitte. Most recently, he served as Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Consulting, leading the launch and buildout of Deloitte Digital. John serves on several boards, including as Chairman of Kin and Carta plc, a digital transformation consultancy based in London and Chicago. He is also a member of the Board of Plan International (UK), an international development charity, and is on the Ethics Board for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland. Mr. Kerr holds a BA from the University of Strathclyde and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland.

Chief HR Officer Helen Brown
Helen joined SLR in 2018 and moved onto the SLR Board in January 2020. She has executive responsibility for all aspects of the people agenda across the business globally. Helen has 30 years of experience in engineering, management consultancy and HR roles. Prior to joining SLR, Helen worked for Esso Petroleum, IBM and The Boston Consulting Group.
Helen has a Chemical Engineering degree from Imperial College, London and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.

Strategic Development Director Jonathan Crane
Jonathan has responsibility for strategy development, M&A, business integration and marketing and is an executive member of the board. He joined SLR after 10 years at 3i Private Equity where he was a Partner, led the global Industrials sector and was on the boards of Element Materials Technology, MKM and Aspen Group. Prior to 3i, Jonny spent 11 years at Bain & Company in both London and San Francisco where he helped to develop and deliver strategies for a range of leading companies.

Regional Manager - US Jeanine Armstrong Gouin
Jeanine is SLR’s US Regional Manager and serves as President of SLR International Corporation in the US. Prior to its acquisition in 2020, Jeanine was Vice President and Managing Director of Milone & MacBroom, Inc., where she was a consultant for 26 years. In addition to her leadership roles, Jeanine’s technical background spans Water Resources Engineering, Environmental and Social Impact Assessment, and Regulatory Compliance, including extensive flood mitigation and stream restoration. She has been a practising a licenced civil engineer for over 30 years.

Regional Manager - Europe Alan Edwards
Alan is the leader of SLR’s European Region and works closely with SLR’s Executive & European Management Teams to strategically develop and grow SLR’s operations in Europe. He has over 30 years’ experience as an environmental consultant, working across a variety of industries, and a hydrogeologist with particular experience and knowledge of karstic and peat environments. He has also held various senior leadership positions for the past 15 years.

Regional Manager - Canada Craig Johnston
Craig is responsible for the growth and operational management of SLR’s Canadian region. Over his 25+ year consulting career, Craig has held operational, technical and sector focused leadership roles within the environmental consulting sector. In addition to his leadership role, Craig’s technical background is in hydrogeology where he focuses on the areas of groundwater supply development and protection, contaminant hydrogeology, and impact assessment related to resource development projects.

Regional Manager - Asia-Pacific Paul Gardiner
Paul is SLR’s Asia-Pacific Regional Manager with over 30 years’ national and international experience across the private and public sectors. During his career, Paul has led and developed high performing teams globally as they venture into new markets growing businesses both organically and through mergers and acquisitions. Since joining SLR in late 2016, Paul has led the growth and diversification of the Asia-Pacific business through the addition of new technical disciplines and geographic locations to address changing market conditions and business development opportunities. Paul is also a member of Consult Australia’s Male Champions of Change group and is committed to actively promoting gender equality across SLR in the Asia-Pacific region and also more broadly in the consulting sector.

Regional Manager - Africa Rob Hounsome
Rob is SLR’s African Regional Manager and has more than 25 years’ experience as a leader responsible for consultancy teams across diverse engineering and scientific disciplines in multiple locations. In addition to his leadership roles, Rob has extensive experience in undertaking complex Environmental and Social Assessments, Due Diligence studies and fulfilling Environmental Technical Advisor roles for projects in their developmental or operational phases. His global experience includes leadership and project delivery in more than 30 countries mainly in Africa, the Middle East and Asia. He has particular technical expertise is in the Industrial, Energy and Mining sectors and has led teams focused on the Infrastructure and Built Environment markets.

Non-Executive Director Stephane Etroy
Stephane is a Partner and Head of European Private Equity in the Ares Private Equity Group. He serves as a member of the Ares Private Equity Group's Corporate Opportunities Investment Committee. Stephane currently serves on the boards of directors for the parent entities of Exemplar Health Care, Point Vision and SLR Consulting. Prior to joining Ares in 2020, Stephane was Executive Vice President and Head of Private Equity at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ) in London, where he was responsible for the London office and was a member of CDPQ's Executive and Investment-Risk Committees. Previously, he was a Partner at Charterhouse Capital Partners LLP in London, where he worked for more than a decade. He holds an M.Sc. from HEC Paris in Finance.

Non-Executive Director Nicolas Greilsamer
Nicolas is a Principal in the Ares Private Equity Group. He currently serves on the boards of directors for the parent entities of Exemplar Health Care, London Square and SLR Consulting. Prior to joining Ares in 2014, Nicolas was an investment banking analyst at Citigroup, where he focused on executing mergers and acquisitions in the power, utilities and renewables industries. Nicolas holds a B.Sc., in Investment and Financial Risk Management, as well as an M.Sc., in International Accounting and Finance from Bayes Business School (formerly Cass).
