Challenge

Latin America Power sought to increase the installed capacity of the San Juan Wind Farm to 258 MW by adding 9 new wind turbines.

Solution

SLR prepared the Environmental Impact Study (EIA) for the permanent and temporary mobile works, including:

  • Air quality, noise, vibration and luminosity studies
  • Evaluation of electromagnetic fields
  • Studies in geology, geomorphology, hydrogeology and hydrology
  • Natural risk assessment
  • Research on soil, flora, vegetation and fauna
  • Survey of cultural heritage

Impact

The project helped reinforce wind energy generation in Chile, promoting a cleaner and more sustainable energy matrix, with a comprehensive focus on environmental and social protection.
