Biography
Sara Turner is an Energy Transition and Climate Policy Consultant with over a decade of experience in the mining and energy sectors. She specializes in financial modeling of transitional risk in compliance markets. Sara has participated in multiple feasibility studies for mines in Canada and internationally.
Sara has led socio-economic environmental impact assessments for projects in Latin America and Canada, authored annual mine reports, and represented renewable energy clients throughout project development and operations. Her expertise includes project de-risking, sustainable finance, energy transition trade-off studies, renewable energy screening assessments, environmental assessment and permitting and compliance.
She holds a Graduate Certificate in Science and Policy of Climate Change and a Master of Arts in Environmental Practice from Royal Roads University. Sara has contributed to publications and conference sessions on climate-resilient mining and sustainable management strategies in Canada, Brazil and Honduras.
