SLR is pleased to announce that, effective 28 January, SB&CO has joined the SLR team.

SB&CO is a highly respected consultancy working across sustainability strategy, technical advisory and sustainability communications – from strategy to story. Advising many of the world’s most influential companies and brands, SB&CO brings an exceptional track record of helping organisations navigate complex sustainability challenges with clarity, ambition and impact.

Founded by Nigel Salter and Penny Baxter, SB&CO builds on more than 50 years of combined leadership in sustainable business and corporate responsibility, having previously founded and grown Salterbaxter. Today, they lead a diverse team of experts who combine in‑depth strategic, technical and communications capabilities.

This acquisition significantly strengthens SLR’s ability to support clients with integrated sustainability solutions. SB&CO’s experience working with senior leaders on sustainability strategy, along with their proven capabilities in stakeholder engagement and communications, bolsters SLR’s existing expertise to support clients across their entire sustainability journey, from strategy and ambition setting through to implementation. It also reinforces SLR’s commitment to ‘Making Sustainability Happen’ and reflects a shared vision for creating meaningful impact.

Penny and Nigel commented: “We’re delighted to join forces with SLR. We see SLR as being perfectly suited to serve global clients’ needs across the full spectrum of sustainability challenges – and the idea of helping to build this pureplay global sustainability offer matches the ambitions of ourselves and our fantastic team.”

Over the coming months, we look forward to bringing our teams together, combining our complementary skills, and creating new opportunities to help organisations accelerate their sustainability ambitions.
