Lola Sterrett

Biography

Based in Perth, Lola is a cultural heritage specialist with experience working in both the historic and Aboriginal cultural heritage spheres. With a love of research and shared stories, Lola provides comprehensive advice on a diverse array of developments, including large-scale mining projects, environmental beautification and rehabilitation projects, state-significant infrastructure developments, and property developments.

Lola’s previous experience within the public sector has equipped her with a strong knowledge of the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972 and Aboriginal Heritage Regulations 1974. Her involvement with the Section 18 approval process ensures clients will receive thorough and detailed submissions under the relevant legislation.

Her background in Aboriginal cultural heritage conservation has also given her a deep understanding of the need to act with respect while balancing project timelines and sensitivities around cultural heritage sites. She believes the best outcomes are achieved when we foster a shared sense of responsibility and stewardship.
