SLR has recently announced the expansion of services in its Asia Pacific region with the introduction of a Risk Assessment and Toxicology team, led by Tarah Hagen.

While this is a new service offering to the APAC region, SLR globally are internationally recognised human health, environmental toxicology and risk assessment experts. One of SLR’s main strengths is its experience in identifying and then cost-effectively mitigating the risks associated with contaminated land.

The APAC Risk Assessment and Toxicology team will be led by Tarah Hagen, who will be based in our Melbourne office. Tarah was previously a director and senior consultant at ToxConsult Pty Ltd, providing environmental toxicology and risk assessment services to a broad range of industries and government bodies. She has over 10 years’ experience in conducting screening and detailed human health and ecological risk assessments for a variety of clients. Included are contaminated land and water, consumer goods, food and industrial emissions. She is only one of a few consultant toxicologists certified by the American Board of Toxicology.

SLR’s Asia Pacific Regional Manager Paul Gardiner added:

“The addition of our Risk Assessment and Toxicology team aligns with the company’s strategy of strengthening and diversifying existing services in other geographies. I’m very pleased to see that our Asia Pacific operations are not only growing in scale and geographic reach, but also in the services we can offer our clients. The introduction of the Risk Assessment and Toxicology team will further complement our existing Land and Water APAC teams, including Hydrology and Hydrogeology, Land Quality and Remediation and Soil Sciences.”
