Building Sustainability

SLR provides a wide range of sustainable building services that support from pre-planning through to post-construction stages of a project.

In addition to carrying out sustainability assessments (for example, in the UK Building Sustainability Team offers BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes for a variety of developments), SLR can provide strategic environmental assessment and advisory services at a very early stage in the development masterplanning process to ensure that developments are planned at the outset to be as sustainable as possible.  These services include:

  • energy and carbon management and renewable energy source feasibility studies; 
  • ecological assessment and enhancement; 
  • flood risk assessments; 
  • acoustics; 
  • waste management plans (both constructional and occupational); and 
  • contaminated land assessment;
