Project Objectives:
SLR completed the hydrogeologic characterization and reporting required for permitting Area 7 in conformance with Chapter 173-351 WAC.
Our Role:
King County was proposing to develop Area 7, the penultimate expansion area for the Cedar Hills Regional Landfill. The 960-acre Cedar Hills Regional Landfill is the largest publically-owned municipal solid waste landfill in Washington. SLR personnel prepared and negotiated approval of focused field investigations including geophysical testing to confirm that the proposed area meets regulatory location restrictions. SLR completed hydrogeologic characterization of the proposed waste area and submitted a Hydrogeologic Report that integrated Area 7 data with the site-wide conceptual model in support of permitting Area 7 development.
