Project Objectives:
Conduct portfolio-based risk assessments for closure of SWMUs and AOCs associated with pads and pits in the active oilfield.
Our Role:
SLR developed a site-wide conceptual site model and generated site-specific action levels to identify concentrations that may require mitigation. To reduce the number of individual assessments required, SWMUs were combined based on similar uses, contaminants, and surrounding habitats to conduct portfolio-level risk assessments. Site-specific action levels involved literature review for relevant cold climate upland and freshwater species for 70 chemicals.
