Project Objectives:
SLR acted as local Geotechnical Advisor to the lead designers and construction managers for a 23km long, €760 million light rail project.
Our Role:
Our advice covered scoping and supervision of additional ground investigations; interpretation of ground and groundwater conditions; foundation design for bridge structures, sub-stations, station stops and track systems; basement design for underground sub-stations; advice on re-use of bridge foundations; assessment of cutting and embankment stability and earthworks and geotechnical reporting to UK Highways Agency / DMRB Standard HD22/02.
