Project Objectives:

Providing services as head auditor; auditor training, providing program services in air quality, hazardous material management and water quality.

Our Role:

SLR personnel provided the outside consultant and head auditor services for a U.S. company with wood products facilities and a major pulp and paper facility in the pacific northwest.  The pulping facility is the most complex with regards to the applicable regulations.  The team, which has been involved in the auditing program with this company since 2001, has been comprised of in-house staff from the each facility with SLR providing auditor training. Program efforts rotate each year between air quality (Title V, CAA, MACT,) hazardous materials (RCRA, Pollution Prevention, DOT, TSCA, EPCRA, FIFRA PCBs, Asbestos, Process Safety, Risk Management), and water quality areas (NPDES, Stormwater, Drinking Water).  The facility permits and issues vary depending on the complexity of the process and the specific location.  SLR prepares audit questionnaires for each facility to guide the auditor.
