Project Objectives:

The project called for the regeneration of a dilapidated and dangerous old structure into the focus point of Hebburn's Riverside Park. 

Our Role:

The scheme saw the creation of a new level walkway, which runs the full length of the jetty. By raising the deck at the east end the problem of flooding at high tides was solved providing a much safer facility.

The jetty offers an accessible and safe vantage point for the local community to enjoy leisurely walks, views and fishing.  A local artist was commissioned to work with pupils from St. Aloysius Infant and Junior Schools in Hebburn to create the bespoke artwork which can be found on the guardrails.  The designs are based on themes of water, air and buildings and machines.
