Project Objectives:

To undertake an archaeological site investigation to evaluate potential of an area prior to gravel extraction.

Our Role:

In response to a planning condition, SLR was contracted to carry out an archaeological evaluation of a 3 hectare site prior to gravel extraction.  27 trenches were excavated over the course of three days, and evidence of site boundaries was uncovered.  The planning condition was successfully discharged without the need for further investigative work.
