Project Objectives:
To characterize the physical and chemical sediments in which organic remains are preserved, to map their extent, and to design a management strategy for their continued preservation.
Our Role:
SLR assembled a team of experts to study and advise on the specific burial environment of an internationally important Bronze Age timber-built settlement located on the edge of a mineral extraction pit. In order to get planning consent SLR designed a management strategy to preserve the remains in situ and to monitor them over 25 years.
