Project Objectives:

Following submission of a planning application for an MBT facility, the nearby Dairy raised concerns relating to potential risk of taint of the dried milk products.

Our Role:

SLR undertook detailed monitoring of likely emissions to air from a surrogate facility (in Italy). These emission rates were applied to an atmospheric dispersion model followed by a risk assessment to the Dairy. The findings of the assessment allowed the planning authority to grant planning permission given the predicted low levels of risk to the product at the Dairy.
