John is a Director of SLR Consulting and has over 25 years of industrial and consultancy experience. Within SLR, John has overall responsibility for sustainability matters, both internal and external, as well as SLR's planning and EIA work. John chairs SLR's team of office environmental coordinators and is responsible for maintaining SLR's Carbon Neutral status.
John has a wide range of professional experience, initially in the UK's minerals and waste sectors, and more recently in relation to the development of sustainable communities in large urban extensions where John is directing SLR's multi disciplinary teams dealing with issues such as energy demand, supply of renewable energy and flood risk assessment. John is also involved in directing several energy from waste scheme planning applications and is particularly interested in pursuing the use of waste as a renewable source of energy which could provide combined heat and power (CHP) for large urban extensions.
